How to rob the Kortz Center in GTA Online: what to buy, how to get in and when to sell the painting

Updated: 06.11.2026 Author: Alex Rayne
Large tiled-roof villa with a garden on a hill above Los Santos, GTA Online

A guide to The Kortz Center Heist in GTA Online: the mansion and Art Studio, scope out and required preps, four entry points, painting values, the first-sale-of-the-week rule, solo or with a crew, Hard and Elite.

In short
  • The host needs a mansion (from GTA$11,500,000) and the Art Studio (4,700,000), ≈16.2M in total. Crew members don't need to buy anything.
  • The heist can be done solo or with a crew of up to four; the Crisp Gallery only opens with two players.
  • The big money comes only from the first primary target sold each week: 1,218,000–1,925,000 on Normal. A repeat pays exactly 25% of that.
  • The first run after Thursday is free; a repeat costs 100,000 according to most guides.
  • Crew members get a fixed amount of about 100K; cuts can't be adjusted here.

The Kortz Center Heist: what it is

Data checked on November 6, 2026, after update 1.73.

The Kortz Center Heist launched on July 14, 2026 in update 1.73 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. The target is the Kortz Center museum: you swap a valuable painting for a copy and, if you can, carry out other exhibits too. The client is Mr. Faber, and the fixer is Raf De Angelis. It's Raf's phone call that unlocks repeat runs.

The figures in this guide come from GTA Boom, GTA Boss, GTABase and GTA Intel. Rockstar doesn't publish official payout tables. An overview of the other heists is on our GTA Online heists page.

What you need to buy

WhatPrice, GTA$Notes
Tongva Estate11,500,000the cheapest mansion
Vinewood Residence12,200,000—
Richman Villa12,800,000the closest to the Kortz Center
Art Studio4,700,000a room in the mansion, the heist's base

Mansions are bought on the Prix Luxury Real Estate website. The Art Studio is added there too, under Renovate → Additional Rooms; it's built on the second basement level. The minimum buy-in is ≈16.2M without discounts. GTA+ discounts on the mansion and the studio ran until August 2026 and have ended; look for new ones in our weekly update.

Only a CEO, VIP or MC President can launch the heist. Crew members need neither a mansion nor an Art Studio. Other real estate is covered on our GTA Online properties page.

Structure: scope out and preps

The first step is a single Scope Out mission. At night you survey the Kortz Center from the Bell Building, look for entry points, connect the AI concierge to the cameras to see the vault and mark secondary targets. In the finale only the entry points you found during the scope out are available.

Required groupOptions
Infiltration Gearone of: Staff Key Card, Tactical Equipment, Alpha Mail Disguise, Hazmat Suit
Unmarked WeaponsStreet, Security or Military
Getaway VehicleManchez Bikes, Armored Caracara or Annihilator Stealth
Equipmentboth: Access Code and Hacking Device

Optional preps (Security Disruption): Guard Shipments, Guard Routes, Glass Cutter, Power Drills, EMP Charges. Each can be done once per run. According to GTA Boss, Power Drills are needed for the safety deposit boxes in the vault. On the board you can also buy the Vault Door Keypad for 450,000 and Advanced Avionics for 1,200,000 (one-time, for the Annihilator Stealth).

What other properties add. An Agency, Terrorbyte or Garment Factory gives you extra time in the vault (GTA Boom, GTA Boss). According to GTA Boom, an Arcade with the Drone Station provides Nano Drones, the mansion armory adds Mk II weapons, Mansion Security distracts the police, and the Mansion Vehicle Workshop improves the getaway vehicles.

There are no separate approaches like in the casino. Your "approach" is the combination of entry point, weapons, vehicle and optional preps.

Four entry points

EntryWhat you needNotes
Staff EntranceStaff Key Cardslowest, but the easiest
Loading BayAlpha Mail disguisefastest, best for repeats
SkylightTactical Equipment, rappelling downdisables the moving camera
SewerHazmat Suit, entrance inside the hedge mazethe manhole key spawns in one of five spots

Entry notes per GTA Boss and GTA Boom. According to GTA Boss, the finale goes like this: entry at night → basement → server room with the cameras → access code → laser room → hacking the vault keypad → swapping the painting for the copy → secondary targets → escape and delivery to the warehouse in Cypress Flats. Along the way there are three minigames: the fingerprint scanner, the vault keypad and the panels in the laser room. GTA Boss advises leaving the vault with time to spare and warns that after a checkpoint restart the alarm sometimes stays on.

A quiet run pays better. Witnesses and camera footage lower the black-market price. The guard who saw the swap has to be taken out, and the vault footage can be wiped.

Primary targets and the weekly rule

Rockstar explains it directly: the biggest payout comes from the first Primary Target sold each week. Repeat sales push the price down, which Rockstar calls "buyer fatigue". The bonus applies to one sale per week, not to every painting, and the price is locked in at the moment of sale. The reset happens every Thursday along with the weekly update.

SaleNormal, GTA$Hard, GTA$
First sale of the week1,218,000–1,925,0001,339,800–2,117,500
Repeat sale304,500–481,250334,950–529,375
La Dernière Débauche (story first target)1,925,000 / repeat 481,250—

A repeat is exactly 25% of the first sale, hence the "4×" in some guides. Hard is exactly +10%. The paintings in the vault change every week, so the payout depends on the current target. The first target, La Dernière Débauche, is mandatory and has to be sold. You can also keep a painting and hang it in your mansion, but then you get no money for it.

Secondary targets. A full scope out reveals ≈2.3M–2.68M worth of loot, but one person can't carry it all: everyone has one bag, a large painting takes up about half of it, and the primary target takes no space. The weekly bonus doesn't apply to secondary targets. According to GTA Boss, jewelry is worth 29K–46K, gems 102.5K–115K and large paintings 147.5K–160K.

Check which paintings are in the vault this week in our weekly update.

Solo or with a crew

According to the update 1.73 patch notes, the heist is for one to four players. It's fully playable solo. One catch: the Crisp Gallery on the second exhibition level only opens with two players, so you can't take that loot solo.

  • Solo, the first run of the week together with secondary targets pays ≈2M–2.2M (per GTA Boss and GTA Intel).
  • With a crew you can carry out more secondary targets: several bags plus the Crisp Gallery.
  • Cuts can't be adjusted. The host takes the bulk, and crew members get a small fixed amount of about 100K. Rockstar doesn't publish it.

If everyone has a mansion with an Art Studio, it pays better to take turns hosting.

Repeats, Hard and Elite

Fee. The first launch after the Thursday reset is free. A repeat or relaunch costs 100,000 according to GTA Boom, GTA Boss and GTA Intel. GTABase says 25,000, so on our GTA Online heists page we give both figures.

Cooldown between runs. Raf's call unlocks the repeat. According to GTA Intel and GameRant, solo it comes after ≈2 h 24 min of real time (three in-game days), with a crew after ≈48 min (one in-game day). GTA Boss gives no fixed number and says the wait varies.

Hard is only available on repeats: pay 100,000 and start within roughly 15 minutes of Raf's call. Hard adds 10% to the price, and the Elite bonus becomes 100,000.

Elite Challenge: all in one run:

  • finale in under 17 minutes;
  • accuracy above 90%;
  • loot value loss under 15,000;
  • the whole Buyer's Request collected.

The bonus is 50,000 on Normal and 100,000 on Hard, for each participant. The Buyer's Request is a list of three secondary targets marked with a gold coin during the scope out. Collecting the full set pays another 50,000 on Normal. If an item from the list is in the Crisp Gallery, you can't get Elite solo. In that case you can cancel the run through Raf and set it up again, but the next launch will cost 100,000.

Sometimes there's a separate weekly challenge with a bonus; it changes every Thursday. The July 30, 2026 fixes concerned guards and cameras; payouts haven't changed since.

Tips

  • For repeats pick the Loading Bay: it's the fastest entry.
  • Solo loadout per GTA Intel: Richman Villa, Staff Key Card, Military weapons, Armored Caracara. GTA Intel recommends Guard Shipments as the first optional prep.
  • Between runs earn money other ways: Salvage Yard, the Diamond Casino Heist with friends, Cayo Perico solo.

Glitches and mod menus break Rockstar's rules and can end in a ban. We don't publish them.

The Kortz Center Heist FAQ

How much does The Kortz Center Heist pay?

According to guides, the first primary target sale of the week pays 1,218,000–1,925,000 on Normal (up to 2,117,500 on Hard). A repeat pays 25% of that. Solo, the first run of the week together with secondary targets comes to ≈2M–2.2M.

Can you do the Kortz Center Heist solo in GTA 5 Online?

Yes, the heist is designed for 1–4 players. Only the Crisp Gallery is off-limits solo: it takes two players to open.

What is the Kortz Center Heist cooldown?

Until Raf calls. According to GTA Intel and GameRant, ≈2 h 24 min solo and ≈48 min with a crew; GTA Boss gives no exact timer.

Why does a repeat Kortz Center run pay so little?

Can you keep the Kortz Center painting?

Yes, you can hang it in your mansion. But then you don't get paid for it, and the story painting La Dernière Débauche has to be sold.

What happens if a guard sees the painting swap?

The black-market price drops. The guard who witnessed it has to be taken out, and the vault camera footage wiped.
